Situation: An affiliate of a major printing and imaging company was looking to energize its performance culture. Halverson Group was engaged to help establish a “common language” about great performance to improve the quality of conversations and decisions about talent across the organization.

Approach: To tackle this problem, Halverson Group assembled a seasoned team of organizational psychologists to dig deep with executives to understand their historical barriers to candid performance conversations and decisions and to articulate their desired performance culture. With strong client buy-in, Halverson Group led the development of Core and Leadership competencies and target behaviors and helped to embed them into existing and new tools for performance discussions, talent development, and rewards and incentives.

Result: Halverson Group delivered a powerful toolkit designed to enhance the performance culture and improve the quality of talent discussions and decisions. Key components of our overall solution set were a core and leadership competency model, a rollout and communication plan, and a competency-based tool to enhance the talent selection and development process. Senior members of the Halverson Group team worked closely with influential members of the executive marketing team to ensure successful implementation of the new talent roadmap within the organization.
